Sullivan City received grant funds from the Texas Department of Rural Affairs-General Land Office for drainage improvements in connection to the 2008 Hurricanes Dolly & Ike. The grant was received in 2010 and since then Sullivan City, S&B Infrastructure, and SAMES, Inc. have been working together. This project has finally been completed. A large drainage ditch was constructed using GLO funds to relieve flooding within Olga Street in Sullivan City
